Is this for you?

This retreat is for couples who are ready.

  • You love each other — and you want to feel it again
  • Life has gotten full and the distance between you has quietly grown
  • You're craving more presence, more depth, more of each other
  • You're spiritually curious and open to ceremony
  • You want to feel each other again, not just function together
  • You're ready to slow down and turn toward one another with intention

What you'll experience

Ceremony, science, and sound.

I
Ceremonial Cacao Opening
With Andrea Bertucci

Guided by the wisdom of the Mayan calendar, we open the heart and arrive fully together. Cacao has been used ceremonially for thousands of years as a plant medicine that opens the heart and invites presence. This is your threshold into sacred space.

II
EFT Couple Experientials
With Liliana Doyon, LMFT

Guided experiences rooted in Emotionally Focused Therapy — the most research-backed approach to building secure, lasting love. These are not exercises. They are invitations to soften, to turn toward, and to feel what it's like to be truly seen by your partner.

III
Sound Bath Closing
With Sandra Castillo

We close by settling into the body. Sound moves through both of you simultaneously, integrating everything you've felt and bringing you into a shared state of rest. You will leave not just lighter — but more together.

The Mayan day sign · T'zi

"The energy of the loyal one —
justice, friendship, and the love that stays."

July 11th falls on the Mayan day of T'zi — the day of the dog, the keeper of loyalty and justice. T'zi asks us to return to balance. To remember what it feels like to be truly witnessed by the person we love.

Emotionally Focused Therapy teaches us the same thing: that deep connection lives in presence, vulnerability, and alignment — not in getting it right. T'zi is the energetic container for everything this retreat holds. You will feel it in the room.

Three women. One ceremony.

Ceremonial Cacao
Andrea Bertucci

Andrea holds sacred space through the wisdom of the Mayan calendar and ceremonial plant medicine. Her work opens the heart and invites couples to arrive fully — body, spirit, and presence — before the deeper work begins.

Sound Bath
Sandra Castillo

Sandra's sound work creates a shared vibrational field that settles the nervous system and integrates emotional experience. She closes the retreat by bringing both partners into a state of resonance — together, in their bodies, at rest.

EFT & Facilitation
Liliana Doyon, LMFT

Liliana is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist, and President of the NY Center for EFT. Her clinical work integrates somatic practice, ancestral healing, and the science of secure attachment. She has been guiding couples back to each other for over a decade.

Questions

Frequently asked.

Do we need to be in couples therapy to attend?
No. This retreat is not couples therapy, and you do not need to be in therapy or have any clinical experience to attend. It is designed for couples who are well and want to go deeper — not for couples in active crisis. If you're unsure whether this is the right fit, feel free to reach out.
What does the cacao ceremony involve?
The cacao ceremony is a heart-opening ritual using ceremonial-grade cacao — a plant medicine that has been used for thousands of years in Mesoamerican traditions. You will receive a warm cacao drink prepared with intention and guided by the wisdom of the Mayan calendar. It is non-psychoactive. If you have any cardiac conditions or take SSRIs, please consult your doctor before attending and let us know in advance. If you are pregnant, please let us know — a half dose is available for you so you can still be fully part of the ceremony.
Do we need prior experience with EFT or sound baths?
Not at all. Everything is guided and held. You only need to show up open and willing to be present with your partner. No prior experience with therapy, ceremony, or somatic work is required.
What should we bring or wear?
Wear comfortable, layered clothing you can move and sit in. We will be on the floor for portions of the retreat, so dress accordingly. Bring water and anything that helps you feel grounded and at home in your body. Light snacks will be available.
What is the refund policy?
All sales are final. Due to the intimate nature and limited capacity of this retreat, we are unable to offer refunds. If an emergency arises, please reach out and we will do our best to accommodate you in a future offering.
How do I register?
Email lilianalmft@gmail.com to schedule a brief consult. This is a chance for us to connect, answer any questions you have, and make sure the retreat is the right fit for you and your partner. Spots are limited to 8 couples and confirmed upon receipt of payment — we encourage you to reach out soon.
Is this retreat LGBTQ+ inclusive?
Absolutely and wholeheartedly. This retreat welcomes all couples regardless of gender, orientation, or relationship structure. All are held here.
